**Clip and feed:** A clip in the diary is a take for you, with an end. A feed is a stage that wants a reaction. The same file becomes one or the other depending on whom you invite.

## Two doors for the same file

A feed rewards the character that lands. The diary rewards the sentence that is true, even if it is badly spoken. If you are already thinking about the cut in the first sentence, you are on stage. Say that out loud, and take a second recording for yourself, with no punchline.

## What the feed wants from the self-image

The feed wants recognition. The same voice, the same stance, a type. That presses the self-image into a shape people can subscribe to. Dating shows do it large. A post does it small.
